The Tax Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution and management of day-to-day operations of the Department. It is a mix of hands-on, front-line activities and oversight. Location: Melville Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Oversight of Tax Department day to day processes and procedures to ensure regulatory timelines are adhered to and proper controls are in place Monitoring tax operations outsourced and off-shored processes to ensure services are delivered as expected · Responsible for W-2, PTIN and 1099 preparation processes, oversight of tax library · Primary contact for various filing authority and Department software logon registrations · Collaborate with key Tax Department team members across industries to ensure all Department forms, best practices and tax checklists are kept up to date · Interface with robotic processing team to review and implement various robotic process automation initiatives Skills and Qualifications: · Prior experience with Tax Operations, or experience working in a Tax Department at a CPA Firm is required · Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related project management and/or operations experience · Three (3) or more years of team management, or related, experience preferred · Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining tax processes preferred · Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting metrics, preferred Helpful Knowledge, but not required: · Knowledge and use of tax research programs and technology (CCH Axcess, documentation management system, workflow management system, time entry system) Apply
