What You'll Do Provide leadership and oversight for the operations and team members of Wiginton Fire Protection Engineering, Inc., ensuring alignment with company goals and reporting directly to senior leadership. Provide guidance for the design and engineering of fire suppression systems, including fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and special hazard systems, to ensure adherence to all relevant codes and standards. Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to help develop system designs and identify concerns. Develop performance-based designs when the identified hazards fall outside the scope of NFPA standards. Develop and maintain business partnerships with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders whose projects complement Wiginton's capabilities and strategic objectives. Actively participate in business development initiatives to ensure Wiginton Fire Protection Engineering's future success and market growth. Keep current on the latest industry trends, codes, and standards which include participating in the NFPA standard development process. Provide technical support and training to the sales and design staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineering (P.E.) Florida license in Fire Protection Engineering or ability to obtain a licensure within a reasonable timeframe. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering. Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, building codes, and relevant regulations. A comprehensive understanding of business operations, marketing, finance, and management principles, which are essential for growing a business. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and regulatory authorities.
