Role/Description. The Quality Assurance Engineer supports the developers in the creation and maintenance of the mobile app and cloud components by examining the processes for raw material acquisition and food preparation workflow, assisting developers in devising an algorithm for the efficient operation of restaurants, testing, and ensuring the software product is working as intended. Qualifications. The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least one year of experience in the food processing industry. Duties. (1) Validate digital restaurant menus for accuracy in item setup and modifiers; (2) Test Kitchen Display System (KDS) functionality to ensure correct order flow and prep timing; (3) Simulate kitchen workflows to ensure software reflects real-world food service operations; (4) Identify and validate database parameters to ensure accuracy; (5) Configure and test studio features like item modifiers, pricing, discount, and employee overtime rules; (6) Collaborate with teams to align software features with kitchen and food industry standards; (7) Develop and execute QA test plans for menu logic and kitchen station mapping; (8) Identify and report issues affecting system accuracy; (9) Support seasonal menus and promotions through menu validation and testing; (10) Work with the developers to develop a testing plan for the products. This testing plan will be implemented by the engineer before all releases of the product to new and existing clients; (11) Work within Jira to test all cards as features are added and the software is made more robust by the developers; (12) Maintain constant communication with the developers on testing procedures and any unusual or unexpected behavior in the products; (13) When a bug is discovered, provide detailed feedback on scenarios on how the bug can be reproduced; (14) Write and perform testing scripts, using various testing platforms such as TestRail; (15) Document and maintain said documentation for all testing and use case scenarios for the products; and (16) Maintain QA reports using structured formats based on food industry audits.
