Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $17.50 | Year 3 - $18.00 | Year 4 - $18.00 | Year 5 - $19.00 Key Responsibilities: You will be vital in providing exceptional service and ensuring store operations run smoothly. Collaborate with team members and share important updates with your manager. Maintain the security and confidentiality of store documents and data. Complete a variety of assigned tasks as needed. Cashier Tasks: Efficiently process customer transactions and maintain a clean work area. Provide top-notch customer service and assist shoppers with their needs. Report product feedback and inventory discrepancies to management. Participate in store inventory counts and ensure accuracy. Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses. Stock Associate Tasks: Stock shelves, ensuring freshness and high visibility for products. Follow established merchandising plans for display setups. Manage new inventory, including the removal and breakdown of boxes. Safely operate equipment according to all safety procedures. Physical Requirements: You should be capable of performing tasks that involve sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking throughout the store. As a Stock Associate, you should be able to lift products weighing up to 45 pounds at varying heights. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to deliver prompt and friendly customer service. Basic cleaning skills to meet company standards. Strong communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Good time management abilities. Familiarity with company products and services is a plus. Cashier-Specific Requirements: Experience operating cash registers accurately and efficiently. Compliance with local laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages. Stock Associate-Specific Requirements: Ability to operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers safely. Availability for morning shifts, starting as early as 5:00 a.m. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Retail experience is a plus, but not mandatory. A combination of education and experience providing applicable knowledge is acceptable.
