Heavy Equipment Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE This role is essential in ensuring that our mobile equipment fleet remains fully operational. You will be tasked with conducting inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and executing necessary repairs on various vehicles and mobile equipment. You'll communicate any concerns about vehicle conditions that may affect production and prepare essential daily and weekly operational reports. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Test mechanical products and equipment to verify performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications. Repair or replace damaged and worn parts effectively. Operate and inspect heavy equipment to identify defects. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using diagnostic tools and equipment. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment utilizing hoists and hand tools. Perform cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance for equipment and vehicles. Inspect parts for damage or excessive wear using gauges and micrometers. Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and maintain service records. Interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Analyze information and evaluate results to provide effective solutions to problems. Stay current with new technologies and methodologies through continuous training. Follow all safety protocols, including confined space entry and lock-out/tag-out procedures, and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Be flexible to work shifts as required. Take on additional tasks as assigned. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience servicing heavy industrial equipment Travel Requirements: Local travel Additional Requirements: Commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work areas and environments.
