The most magical time of the year is almost here, and we need YOU to make it sparkle! Join us as a volunteer at the 2025 Festival of Trees and be part of an enchanting experience that brings joy and wonder to our community. Why Volunteer? The Alfond Youth & Community Center and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce are excited to host the 2025 Festival of Trees at the Waterville Elks Lodge (76 Industrial St, Waterville, ME 04901). Event Dates: November 20, 2025 - Appreciation Night (not open to the public) November 21–23, 2025 November 28–30, 2025 We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year’s event magical! Sign up for one or more 3–4 hour shifts (please plan to stay for your full shift). You can register as an individual or with a group. Volunteer Shifts - Please read before you sign up. Admissions: Volunteers will collect entry fees and greet all guests. Dress warmly. This position is near the entrance doors. Registration: Volunteers need to be able to use a tablet. Assists guests with inputting their name and contact information into the system, enabling them to purchase tickets for the trees and 50/50 drawings. Ticket Sales: This is an energetic, fast-moving position perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy! Volunteers will use a tablet to process ticket sales, so basic computer skills and comfort with technology are required. You’ll also handle cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and great customer service. 50/50 Raffle: Feeling lucky? Help promote and sell the tickets for the 50/50 raffle. Volunteers will use a tablet to process ticket sales, so basic computer skills and comfort with technology are required. You’ll also handle cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and great customer service. Floater: You won't be bored with this position! Floaters fill in for all positions, check on volunteer needs, and assist the point person as a runner. IT Volunteer: IT professionals are requested to help with the technology during the event. Questions? Please note that volunteers should be fairly comfortable with using tablets and counting money. Additionally, all volunteers should be ages 18+.
