Clerical Assistant

Busy New York Hospital is looking for a Clerical Assistant to join their team. Responsibilities include: Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, indexing, and managing correspondence. Provide reception support, including greeting patients and directing inquiries. Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and assist with departmental organization. Operate office equipment including fax machines, photocopiers, and computers. Type and prepare documents, reports, and communications with accuracy. Serve as a liaison with nurses, physicians, patients, and staff to support daily workflow. Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver excellent customer service in all interactions. Perform general administrative tasks to support smooth department operations. Qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED required. At least 2 years of clerical or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment. Ability to type 50 keystrokes per minute. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to interact with patients throughout the day.
