Job Summary: The Certified Sheetmetal Helper supports field operations by assisting mechanics with the positioning, alignment, and assembly of sheet metal systems and related components. This role involves handling tools and materials, aiding in layout and installation tasks, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Helper is expected to anticipate the needs of the mechanic, ensure proper use and storage of equipment, and perform routine duties that contribute to overall project efficiency. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a strong willingness to learn, while consistently adhering to company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations. Physical stamina and the ability to work in outdoor and elevated conditions are essential. Responsibilities: Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout. Places and moves, equipment and materials. Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required). Transports and furnishes mechanics with materials, tools, and supplies. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely. Performs other routine duties. Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules. Ability to inspect tools. Ability to anticipate what mechanic needs next. Qualifications: Graduated Vocational/ college or Welding Certification Willingness to learn. Willingness to install different sheet metal systems. Reliable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and keeps a good morale on-site Has Hand tools to perform the task Tools Required: Sheet metal Hammer Right and left-handed snips Screwdriver set Tape Measure 25' Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
