Adjunct Faculty - Line Technician

Adjunct (part-time) teaching position available for fall 2025. Minimum requirements include: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Lineman or equivalent in utility linework. High school diploma or GED. Strong working knowledge of utility line construction, maintenance, and safety practices. Excellent communication and instructional skills. Ability to work in outdoor training environments and operate industry-standard tools and equipment. Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb poles or operate in elevated platforms as part of instruction. Must use personal protective equipment and follow all safety regulations. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Deliver instruction in electrical linework, safety procedures, pole climbing, equipment use, rigging, transformer installation, and overhead/underground distribution systems. Develop and update lesson plans, training materials, and instructional strategies aligned with industry standards and program objectives. Supervise and evaluate students' practical skills in a controlled field training environment. Instruct students on OSHA, industry recommended safety manuals, and other regulatory standards. Maintain training facilities, tools, and equipment in good working condition. Track student progress and provide feedback, grades, and evaluations in a timely manner. Mentor and guide students on career development and professional behavior. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and safety regulations.
